Cooke City is a unique mountain town located near the Northeast entrance of Yellowstone Park and at the base of the mighty Beartooth Mountains. A 3 hour drive from Bozeman Montana, Cooke City is a dead end town in the winter, only accessible by car from the West (through Yellowstone Park), or via snowmobile from the East (from Cody, Wyoming and Billings, Montana). A consistently deep and reliable snowpack makes Cooke City an amazing backcountry ski and snowmobile destination, from November through June every year.
